  • Dielectric Loss Tangent Testing Instruments

    Soken Electric Co. Ltd

Insulation materials in electrical equipment are used between a pair of electrodes; therefore it can be expressed as capacitors. Applying AC voltage to a capacitor with insulation materials causes an energy loss due to the leak current, the dielectric polarization, and the partial discharge. Because of this, the phase of the capacitor current is more delayed than that of a zero-loss current (reactive current) flowing in an ideal insulation material. The delay angle is called "Dielectric Loss Angle", and the tangent is "Dielectric Loss Tangent" (tanδ). Please refer to the technical guide explained in detail.

  • AC Insulation Testing

    Weshine Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd

High-voltage Dividers (High Potential Divider) are used to measure voltages and decouple partial discharges in high-voltage test systems. Depending on the specific type, they are used to measure alternating voltage (AC), direct voltage (DC), lightning impulse voltage (LI), and switching impulse voltage (SI) systems. High-voltage dividers by HIGHVOLT comply with the relevant IEC standards. The systems are available for both indoor and outdoor use.

  • Universal PD & EMI analyzer

Spark P3 - Manta Test Systems

Doble Spark P3 is a universal partial discharge (PD) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) analyzer that uses a software defined radio signal detector to identify characteristics of insulation system deterioration that could lead to the failure of high voltage equipment. It detects signals from suitable sensors in a frequency range between 9 kHz to 2 GHz for PD and EMI, and DC to 500k Hz for acoustic and reference voltage measurements.

  • Battery Cell Insulation Tester

Chroma 11210 - Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc.

Chroma 11210 battery cell insulation tester is an instrument used for accurately measuring leakage current (LC) and insulation resistance(IR) of battery jelly-roll/dry-cell as well as other insulation materials. In addition to standard LC/IR measurement, the 11210 has a unique function that detects partial discharge (PD) or flashover that may have occurred inside the insulation material during the high voltage insulation testing process.

  • Multi-frequency Ultrasound And Acoustic Imaging Camera

    SonaVuTM - SDT Ultrasound Solutions

SonaVu™ is an acoustic imaging camera. Using its 112 ultrasound sensors and optical camera, it can detect sources of airborne ultrasound and transmit them into a visual image on its touch screen. Defects such as compressed air system leaks, compressed gas system leaks, vacuum leaks, the presence of partial discharge on electrical assets, and failed/working steam traps all create turbulence. And when there is turbulent flow present, there is airborne ultrasound. SonaVu™ makes the superhuman hearing capabilities of SDT Ultrasound Devices visible to the human eye.

  • TEV Antenna

    Techimp HQ S.r.L

TEV sensor is a partial discharge sensor whose working principle is based on a direct Capacitive coupling with a Switchgears earthed metal case. The two ends of TEV sensor can be coupled magnetically to virtually any opening on a metal Surface. It picks up the electric signal given by PD activity onto the two metallic surfaces. Thanks to its special design has high sensitivity, larger than other single ended TEV sensors. His compact and robust design (passive sensor) makes the TEV the optimal sensor for direct installation on medium voltage Switchgears.

  • Digital High Voltage Breakdown Testers (HV Tester)

    Premier Electrosystems

The typical use of high voltage testing is to confirm performance. The high voltage tests are included in type and routine tests to meet the required IS standards, quality and reliability. Some of them are insulation resistance tests, dielectric type tests, lightning and switching impulse tests, partial discharge measurement, etc. Premier's high voltage tester checks the insulation between line to earth, neutral to earth, primary to earth, secondary to earth and between primary & secondary.

  • High Frequency Current Transformer

    HFCT Ø 140mm - Techimp HQ S.r.L

Techimp Clamp High Frequency Current Transformer model 140 is an inductive sensor for partial discharge measurements. It is suitable for online /off line PD tests on : large diameter cables ; grounding rod bar ; etc. A TNC termination is available to connect the Clamp HFCT 140 to the TechImp PD analyzer : PDCheck , PDBase etc. The arrow indicates the requested input current (Iin) direction to get coherent output voltage (Vout) polarity respect to ground. When the sensor is installed with the arrow directed to ground, the detected voltage signal (Vout) has the same phase of the input current (Iin).
